Another year has come and gone, and we are as some say in the last year of our world. Yes I am talking about the end of the calendar in Dec 21, 2012. Well it all depends on what you really think and what you believe in. What does this have to do with the tech world you ask? Well with all the movies and books made over the last few years, it has been really over viewed by all industries. Do I believe in this future event? Well I do believe that something is going to be unique but I don’t think the world will end.
I think that there is no way anyone could design a calendar to go on forever, that said, the Mayans I believe could not design a calendar to go on forever. It is still amazing to think that they designed the calendar to last this long is beyond belief.
Till then, I will still be working as usual, fixing computers and reporting helpful information along the way. Stay tuned for more information as I find it....

Today was a cold snowy day, the usual day to expect in the Canadian North, what was not expected was 2 surprise A+ exams to a good friends nephew. While he did know that he was going to be tested sometime this weekend, and he studied for the past what had to be known for the test, he was obviously ill prepared for what lies ahead.
The A+ Exam was actually the 2003 exam, but emulated the original exam since it was a random 100 multi-choice question exam performed within a 90 min. Time period.
I am afraid that my suspicion was warranted, I am sadden say that my friends nephew did not take advantage of what was an opportunity of a life time. With a passing mark on the actual exam being about 70%, he only managed just shy of 40% correct. After dinner I gave him a choice to do the same exam (A+ Core) or to do the A+ OS exam. He chose the latter and set about to complete it too.
I am afraid to say that he was not successful at this venture either with a finishing score of even less than the first at 32%.
With this being completed a decision was made and unfortunately he lost the support that most others would kill for.
While I was willing to help him with learning a possible carrier, I will not waste my valuable time that is useful elsewhere.

It has occurred to me while attempting to help a friends nephew with his computer studies that there seems to be complacency among all teens. Is it a going trend that our youth today would rather play video games and party then study and learn a good trade? This seems to be the trend I am seeing today. I myself am willing to assist and help someone with starting out in this computer tech field as long as they are willing to help selves and study. I mean what do these kids want, me to actually do the exam and testing for them? I think not. I already did my testing, I took the initiative and worked hard for what I have achieved today. No one gave me anything on a silver platter nor would I want it. As for my friend’s nephew, I am not impressed from what I have been hearing so far, I will be testing him this afternoon and see how much he has worked at it. Stay tuned for the results later tonight.
